阿纳德•拉奥后来才知道，遇到这种事情的不止他一人，他的老乡说起来都有几个故事可讲，很多人就因为翻译工作不到位而耽误了许多生意。小编也了解到，目前中国的翻译服务市场良莠不齐，一些非正规的翻译人员正成为搅乱翻译市场，损害市场形象的“害群之马”。

“就因为翻译没弄清产品材料，不但没做成200万元的生意，还让我失去了与一个大客户合作的机会。”在越州工贸园区做衬衫布生意的陈先生至今说起翻译水平差仍是咬牙切齿。今年5月，陈先生通过网络找到了一个想采购衬衫布的俄罗斯客商，兴奋之余他马上找了个翻译帮忙联系。双方面谈时，外商一开始挺高兴，还达成了初步意向，几天后却杳无音信。事后陈先生才知道，是翻译译错了产品面料，外商以为陈先生不能供应这种产品。在绍兴轻纺城从事中高档女装面料出口贸易的李勤芳最近经人介绍认识了一名巴基斯坦客商，客商在她铺子里看中了几款面料，她赶紧找来翻译。谈妥价格款式后，她如期发货，最后却被告知款式有出入，要全部退货，5万元费用全由她承担。

不少做出口生意的经商户都表示，做外贸最担心的不是拿不到钱，而是翻译不到位，标的物意思表达不准确，不但做不成生意，还使外商对轻纺城布商产生不信任感。随着对外贸易的日益频繁，翻译市场越做越大，业内人士估算，如今各翻译公司受理的外语翻译种类相加可突破100种。但是为什么“正规军”会敌不过“游击队”呢？问题就在费用方面，非正规翻译可把服务价格降低一半，这给正规的翻译公司带来了不少冲击。因非正规翻译随叫随到，比去翻译公司请人方便得多，这也成为吸引商户的一个重要原因。据在轻纺城从事韩语翻译多年的何先生介绍，非正规翻译一般是兼职的，他们在收费上不会太斤斤计较，尤其是临时性陪同翻译，最多二三个小时就能搞定。他们联系的客户多，一天跑二三个地方，一个月下来也是笔不小的收入。

而哪些人在抢正规翻译公司的饭碗？小编了解到从事临时翻译工作的多为高等院校外语系毕业生，也有外贸公司的从业人员，也有私下兼职的翻译。 “普通大学毕业生即便过了英语六级，其实很少能和外国人直接沟通，翻译专业性较强的商贸用语更是难以胜任。同时优秀的翻译对使用该外语的主要国国情要有相当的了解，包括风土人情和生活习惯等，否则很难准确表达双方要表达的信息。”何先生说。有的商家没认识到这些，失误也就难免了。所以外商以及从事外贸的中国商人也需注意不能一味要求低价，低价就无法保证质优，正规翻译公司的报价虽然比临时翻译要高，但是质量肯定是可以保证的，至尚翻译公司确保提供优质陪同翻译，让双方可以清楚了解细节，避免沟通出现裂缝，减少诸如上述提到的错失合作机会等问题，并且在全国多个主要城市提供专业服务，诸如上海，北京，杭州，广州等一线城市。
